Recording In Progress

Recording in Cedar Rapids

So here it is...there is a new cd in the making. Should be a breath or two before it appears, but new music is en route.

Ken and I laid down the tracks to a new children's album as well as some additional 'adult' songs.

Titles on the way:
Tell Me Dear
You Are a Star (aka. Cooper's Song)
Ladybug Fly
Soldier's Fortune
Will the Circle Be Unbroken
Mama Don't Allow
Red Light
...and more.

Ooh Minnesota!

From recording in Iowa to the land of a gazillion lakes.

Minnesota was beautiful and Tony was an excellent tour guide. The art, the nature, the people...a great city.Unity South is filled with something a dash beyond words...good energy, beautiful people and a welcoming spirit. My new friend in Minnesota-Unity South.O yes, the film location for Purple Rain. Aah, just to touch the land of Prince was absolutely fabulous! Saw the loves of my life...waterfalls and lush green!

Then there was the Mall of a Million Blocks aka. the Mall of America (I've been curious about this place ever since my Jr. High boyfriend told me tales). I had to pay a visit to the Prarie Home Companion store to get a excessively belated birthday gift for my folks in Indiana. Took some hip lego shots for my little brother who still harbors a love for lego life. Overall it was a blast! Thanks Minnesota! Posted by Picasa

Cali

A 30 hour drive & 1 new transmission...I made it from Minnesota to California.

To meet the baby in the belly and my amazing friends, the road was worth it.

Amanda flew out from Wisconsin for a weekend reunion which she wrote a better blog on than I would ever attempt to pull together (see http://web.mac.com/amandaclarkkrause/iWeb/Site/Blog/Blog.html) After a great service and great people @ Unity in Marin, we headed back to the wine country. (You can click the link to hear the service on the web)

We toured the coast and played like old times. Nothing in the world beats the women in your life you came here to meet.

Amanda has since headed back to her husband and daughter in Wisconsin, while Lynn, Kenny and I settle into a new groove here in Forestville.

It seems as though they may be turning me into an organic farmer. Well, not quite. More like a farmer's helper. (See Kenny and Lynn's wine production-Banyan & Hobo Wine)

We spent some time 'tying canes' in the vineyard which was a purely peace-filled meditation experience for me. It beat the 12 hour drive I was about to take up to Oregon to attend a 10 day Vipassana meditation retreat (next time around).

I will soon be eating farm fresh fertile eggs that we picked up along our walk from the farmer down the street. It is a stretch for my vegetarian mind, but after seeing that even the 'good' free range chicken folks sear off the little chickies beaks...it looks as though my conscience has little choice. Better to get a little hanky panky (as my Dear Old Grandpa used to say) then to ...aah-I can't even say it--poor chickies.

It reminds me of one a quote I was most moved by: The most violent weapon of man is the table fork. -Ghandi Posted by Picasa

PIGS MUST BE FLYIN'
because WE'RE-A-DRIVIN'!

It really happened. After over a year of visioning and intention, Emccabemusic was gifted...WHAT? Yes, a home on wheels. What more could a traveling preacher rocker want?

Thank you to all who held the vision.
Thank you to Unity Center in Long Beach, MS!!

My lesson...not quite 'every rose has its thorn' ...not exactly 'busted a flat in Baton Rouge'

More along the lines of 'dropping an axel in Wyoming' though it is not as poetic, it was certainly a trip.
And now, thank God for Tahoe! AAhhh, breathing. Posted by Picasa
